Döner in flatbread
For the classic döner, a flatbread is cut open, briefly toasted and generously filled: meat off the spit, fresh salad, tomatoes, onions and sauce. The bread is light and soft, slightly crispy outside – and it holds a decent portion of filling.
Dürüm in yufka
For dürüm we use yufka, a very thin flatbread. It is filled, rolled tight and briefly toasted on the grill. Because the bread is so thin, the filling takes centre stage – and dürüm is easy to eat with one hand.
Which one is for me?
If you are really hungry and love soft bread, go for the döner. If you like it handy or eat on the move, take the dürüm. And if you do not eat meat, simply order the falafel dürüm – just as tasty, only vegetarian.
Our tip
Try both with different sauces. Garlic yoghurt is perfect with the classic, the hot chilli sauce gives the dürüm some fire.
